Tony Joy (American citizen), a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Ohio, is National Practice Leader in charge of the Great Lakes / Mid-West Region, and region formation, with expertise in audit, internal controls, forensic accounting, compliance, ethics and special Investigations, and works as an expert witness. He resides in Ohio with his family.

Tony is a proven global finance executive with extensive experience in Corporate Governance, Internal Controls / Audit, Compliance / Ethics, Risk Management, and Investigations. He has specialized in designing and leading the internal audit, compliance, anti-corruption / ethics, and internal investigations functions globally for numerous US and Australian based multi-nationals. This has included fraud detection / prevention and awareness programs, third-party screening / due diligence, ERM, and leading dozens of forensic, fraud, and FCPA investigations around the globe.
He has broad experience across several industries, including Manufacturing / Industrials, Life-Sciences (Medical Diagnostics and Medical Devices), Energy (Oil, Gas & Mining / Minerals), Technology, and Engineering / Construction Management, to name a few and has extensive experience working in every geographic region across the globe.
He has designed and implemented “Best-in-Class” Compliance and Audit program’s worldwide for several multi-national organizations and has overseen the day to day internal audit operations (including a pre-IPO), at numerous organizations by designing flexible audit infrastructure for use at global locations to accommodate financial, process and operational audits.
Tony has managed audit, risk and compliance engagements, special projects and M&A due diligence throughout Europe, Asia, the America’s and Africa, including coordinating and leading investigations in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil, UK, Italy, Eastern Europe, including Russia, China, Japan, India, Australia, the Philippines, UAE, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Democratic Republic of Congo. South Africa, and several countries in West Africa.
His experience has included project management, design / set-up, and running the day to day operations of the global compliance / ethics programs for numerous organizations. This has included coordinating compliance requirements and activities such as Anti-Corruption and FCPA programs, Export / Trade Compliance, whistle-blower “alert-line”, developing in-house ethics training materials and facilitating live ethics training sessions across the globe to overseeing and conducting dozens sensitive internal investigations in multiple jurisdictions.
He has played a key role in executing the M&A strategy and the due diligence activities on multiple international acquisitions at several global organizations. He has also facilitated training and taught various continuing professional education courses and presentations related to internal audit, compliance / ethics, fraud awareness and prevention, anti-bribery / anti-corruption, risk management, and investigative techniques.
Tony served in the U.S. Marine Corps, assigned to the White House detail under two Presidential Administrations, assisting the US Secret Service with executive protection, prior to the start of his professional career. Most recently he served on the Board of Trustees of Urbana University, a small private liberal arts college.
